The best screeners for swing trading

There are so many stock screeners available, each serving different purposes. The best screeners for swing trading are not easy to sort out from the crowd. Most screeners focus either on technical issues or fundamentals, but few do both.

Of those available, there are really only three worth considering: Stockfetcher, Finvis and Marketclub. Stockfetcher is pretty powerful, but to get the best use out of it, you need to have some basic idea how to construct a script that describes your search. The most flexible version requires a subscription, which will also allow you to veiw more than ten stocks.

Finvis

With no coding skills required, Finvis has just under 50 parameters which you can manipulate in 100s of different ways to build a search query that suits. Finding stocks in a strong positive (or negative) trend, or stocks which have recently hit a new high, or are at a specific pivot point, is just a matter of selecting a few parameters. You can focus on fundamentals or technicals, or a combination of both. This is why Finvis is one of the best screeners for swing trading.

Marketclub

A subscription service, this platform has some incredible tools. As well as presenting daily top stocks, options, ETFs, penny stocks and currencies, there is a daily market commentary and a filtered stock search facility. Graphs and trend anaylses are all part of the package. Probably the most powerful aspect is the presentation of daily trade triangles, for day, week and monthly intervals. This has really boosted my option trades, because finding a stock with a good trend score and a relaible trade signal is a pretty good guarantee of success.
